What do you enjoy about your work?
I love meeting people and hearing the stories of what God has done in their lives. I love seeing God surprise people!
Interesting fact: I have two little boys but I actually grew up with two sisters. I am loving playing with all the toys I never had as a child (like Hot Wheels) and having epic wrestling matches with my boys!
Bio: Fiona grew up in Melbourne with her parents and two sisters. She was fortunate to be brought up at St Hilary’s Anglican Church where her faith grew and evolved over 30+ years.
Fiona initially trained and worked in the fashion industry where she designed children’s clothes. However, God had different plans and she came to her first ministry job at Alpha Australia in 2009 where she quickly realised she loved working in a focused, ministry context!
Fiona worked for AFES (Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students) for five years mentoring female students and has most recently begun a Community Chaplaincy role through the Bendigo Anglican Diocese. Fiona completed her formation in Spiritual Direction in 2018 and is now studying a Bachelor of Theology (Ridley College).
Fiona is married to Nigel and they have two boys, Samuel and Tobias. Fiona enjoys bike riding with her boys, coffee catch-ups, reading, eating out and holidays at the beach!
